Lukas Gage is addressing his brief marriage to celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton by apologizing to a few people who partook in their nuptials.

When asked by host Andy Cohen on Tuesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live if it was his idea to exchange vows in an April 22 ceremony wearing matching fur coats, The White Lotus actor admitted, “Not mine.”

“Literally, I don’t know what went through my head. I don’t know what happened. The fur coats was a horrible idea,” Gage said of the wedding before directing his next words to the camera. “I want to apologize to Shania Twain for wasting her time.”

Roughly six weeks after their first red carpet appearance together, Appleton and Gage flew to Las Vegas to get married in a ceremony officiated by the hairstylist’s A-list client Kim Kardashian, as well as serenaded by country singer Shania Twain. She performed her 1998 hit song “You’re Still the One” before the couple exchanged their vows.

“I mean, ‘We’re still holding on, you’re still the one’ after, like, three weeks? That was unhinged,” Gage told Cohen. “That was like the biggest waste of her time. But, I love you, Shania. I’m really sorry about that.” The actor noted that he’s a huge Shania Twain, adding that it was still “really cool” to have her there.

The You actor also publically apologized to Kardashian, saying, “Kim’s great. She was really sweet to fly us all out and take care of us and pay for everything.” The wedding was also featured on a season four episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians.

“Yeah, sorry to Kim and Shania,” Gage added with a laugh.

Less than seven months after they tied the knot, the pair went their separate ways when Appleton filed for divorce on Nov. 13, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Elsewhere in the WWHL episode, Gage revealed a bit more about the quick marriage, but couldn’t share too many details as he implied that he signed a nondisclosure agreement regarding their relationship.

“I had a manic episode for six months,” the Road House actor said. “Those jackets, those furry jackets… I don’t know, literally, what went through my head, but we live and we learn.”
